Komodo National Park (Taman Nasional Komodo in indonesian) is located between the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur and Nusa Tenggara Barat , Indonesia. This national park consists of three major islands namely Komodo Island, Rinca, and Padar and several smaller islands.
This park was built in 1980 to keep komodo not extinct. The islands in this area are basically vulcanic. The population in this area is about 4000 people. In 1986 this park became the world site of UNESCO.
