Built in the 1600s, the temple of Taman Ayun is nestled in 3 different levels and is bordered by a river. The inner courtyard itself has a moat of water that separates it from the exterior gardens. Around the temple are pavilions and canopied shades that invite the visitors to relax in leisure.
